My dog has black nails and it is almost impossible to tell where to trim them using conventional nail trimmers. I am very happy with the PediPaws. I can confidently file a little of her nail at a time knowing I'm not going to damage her nail. It leaves the nails smooth and eliminates the scratchy, sharp ends that often happen after using nail trimmers.
My dog was a bit apprehensive about the sound of the PediPaws but it was easily overcome with a a little reward after each nail.
